The West Virginia Science Adventure School, a unit within the Division of Student Life at West Virginia University, is seeking applications for a Program Director. The West Virginia Science Adventure School Program Director is responsible for the coordination, administration, and direction of the West Virginia Science Adventure School on a year-round basis. The West Virginia Science Adventure School (WVSAS) is a program designed to provide public school students in West Virginia with a week-long adventure based experiential model focused on science literacy, interpersonal development, student community development, healthy decisions, and sense of place. The WVSAS is administered through West Virginia University and facilitated at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. Associated duties of the Program Director include program development, curriculum development, staff recruitment, training and supervision, strategic partnership development and management, and any other duties necessary to ensure the success of the West Virginia Science Adventure School.
