We are a residential treatment center for adolescents in Waynesville, Missouri. Piney Ridge offers a competitive salary commensurate with education, license and experience.
Piney Ridge Center, is recruiting an experienced behavioral therapist to work with children in a residential treatment center environment. Piney Ridge proudly treats youth who are routinely declined by other sites. This challenging population ranges in age from 7 up to 21. Severe emotional disturbances and problematic sexual behaviors are the primary issues we address. We are currently moving to a trauma informed model and are actively searching for dedicated professionals to join our team.
Behavioral Therapist will serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide professional level counseling to residents and their families under the direction of the Clinical Director. As a member of the treatment team, he/she is responsible to provide a broad range of treatment services including individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention as well as completing assessments and reports. Work closely with guardians, families, and referral sources to provide quality care to those served.
WORK DAYS/HOURS: The regular work week is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. May require additional evening and weekend hours to meet the needs of clients, families and the facility.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION: Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in social work, counseling, psychology, education, or equivalent discipline.
*Licensed as a Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri or meets State education licensing standards and is able to work under supervision towards license.
Behavioral therapist should have knowledge of child and adolescent development and experience in residential treatment for adolescents, and substance abuse and/or sexual abuse/offender treatment certification preferred.
Knowledge of theories and techniques of counseling.
Understand the range of treatment services provided by the center.
***Preference is given to candidates with experience treating trauma informed models of care and or sexual behavior problems.
