Join a dynamic campus community buzzing with excitement as it prepares for its Bicentennial celebrations in 2020. Located on the Flagship Campus of the Indiana University System, IU School of Public Health‐Bloomington has over 170 faculty in five departments (http://www.publichealth.indiana.edu/). Indiana University is classified as an R1-Highest Research Activity university, is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU), and boasts numerous resources. IU School of Public Health‐Bloomington combines aspects of a traditional university campus with a strong teaching focus and the research infrastructure of a research-intensive institution.

The Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington (SPH-B) invites applications for multiple tenure/tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor positions by individuals who would contribute multidisciplinary perspectives, conceptual and methodological diversity, and research leadership and mentoring to the school’s efforts. This is part of a school wide expansion to add an additional 9-20 faculty members across all 5 departments. School priority areas include, but are not limited to: addictions around opioids, nutrition and obesity, infectious disease epidemiology, vector-borne disease, sexual and reproductive health, network science around personalized medicine, rural health, and health disparities. For exceptional pre-tenured faculty candidates with a research focus area on children, preferably physical activity in children, there exists the potential of awarding the endowed Gallahue Family Professorship. The endowed Gallahue Family Professorship is awarded for a five-year term and includes funds to support the awardee’s research endeavors. Senior level applicants with a research team are highly encouraged to apply, as cluster hires are possible. Women scholars, scholars with disabilities, and scholars from traditionally underrepresented minority groups are encouraged to apply. Each of the faculty hired will have tenure homes in a department within SPH-B; links to specific departmental websites are noted below. The anticipated hire date for these appointments is August 1, 2019 although this is negotiable with the ability to start earlier. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2018 and continue until the positions are filled.
