Field Director

The Evoke Cascades Field Director oversees the risk management of all field operations and manages the Field Department, including two assistant Field Directors and all Field Instructors. They schedule, evaluate, support, and supervise Assistant Field Directors and Field Instructors.  They also develop and implement program philosophies, role model healthy communication, and provide a steady, service-driven leadership presence. Responsibilities also include program oversight, program development, continual training for Instructors and implementing policies and procedures.  The Field Director visits the field one to two days per week and prepares reports to ensure compliance with various standards. They provide both On Call and emergency response support and leadership.  Some travel is required for industry conferences/symposiums, as well as ongoing personal professional development. 

Qualifications:

  • Be at least 25 years of age

  • BA/BS or equivalent training and experience in a related field

  • Minimum of two years field experience

  • Able to perform all duties expected of a Senior Field Instructor, to include yearly shifts in the wilderness

  • CPR and WFR certification

  • Strongly Preferred:  Two+ years of outdoor program/administrative experience
