Nuhop, home of Camp Nuhop, a residential summer camp for children with special needs (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorders and Behavioral Nuances) is seeking a candidate who shares Nuhop’s passion for developing our campers social skills, self-esteem and efficacy.
The Director of Summer & Respite Programs is responsible for achieving excellence in all aspects of the management and operations of our Summer Camp and Respite Programs that serves approximately 500 campers each summer and over 300 children over 10 respite weekends.
The ideal candidate will hold a BA in Special Education (Education) and/or a related field (Master’s Preferred) with 3+ years of experience in the residential camp industry. The Director of Summer & Respite Programs will develop the programmatic vision for summer camp and respite programming, develop and execute camper and staff recruitment and retention activities. The candidate will oversee the financial and operational performance of the Summer Camp & Respite Division, and build relationships with camper families, staff, alumni and community leaders.
