This 10-month position is a unique opportunity for the right person with a diverse skill set and passion for working with people. Camp Beech Cliff is an American Camp Association accredited year-round outdoor education center with 50 acres bordering Acadia National Park and significant waterfront on Echo Lake. The Director of Outdoor Education will develop and execute year-round programs for CBC's Acadia Leadership Institute; teaching leadership and outdoor education; designing team building for youth and adult groups; coordinating trainings and certifications. This director will be a catalyst and tremendous role model for people of all ages to understand and experience the relationships between themselves and the natural environment through outdoor play and exploration. Salary range $37 - $42K DOE, plus benefits.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience managing and training on low and high ropes challenge courses. BA in outdoor education or related field. Minimum of 3 yrs in management experience, preferably with a non-profit. Supervisory experience. Proven initiative to start multiple projects and to complete work without direct supervision.
Preferred Qualifications: Rock climbing and sea kayaking guide level experience.
